Last Continental Bahá’í Temple nears completion

The upcoming completion of a Bahá’í Temple in South America will mark an important milestone in the History of the Bahá’í Faith. On completion of this edifice, continental Bahá’í Houses of worship will have been located on the five continents of the Earth together with temples marking three other geographically important regions: Panama, Australia and – representing the important Island cultures – Western Samoa.

The Power of our Junior Youth

“We are here as a group of friends striving to help one another be better and to help those around us.” 
This was the purpose of a group of Junior Youth, ages 11-14 that came together for the long weekend.  From 9 in the morning to 7 at night, this vibrant group of individuls proved that they can make a difference.  The middle schoolers studied a text about someone their age going through similar questions in their lives.  They discussed what their talents are and what they want to do when …

The trial of the seven leaders of the Bahá’í Faith in Iran is currently scheduled for April 10th, 2010 in Tehran. To summarize, these individuals have been held in the notorious Evin prison in Tehran for well over a year without access to their lawyer, Nobel Laureate Shirin Ebadi. The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United States recently informed Local Bahá’í Communities throughout the U.S. of a collaborative commitment by the International Bahá’í Community in connection with a plan of action on Climate Change.
